There are a number of celebrated Italian motorcycle manufacturers, but perhaps none more iconic than Moto Guzzi.
The company’s pivotal role in motorcycle manufacture and development in Italy is almost legendary. It has achieved global prominence on the race circuit; while innovations within the industry include the wind tunnel, first motorcycle centre stand, and the eight-cylinder engine.
Mototechniks are based in the historic town of Stowmarket, and are Suffolk’s leading motorcycle centre for sales and service. Our showroom is home to an impressive range of new bikes; along with a fleet of demo bikes just waiting for a test ride!
An Illustrious History
The Moto Guzzi company was founded in 1921 in Mandello del Lario, Italy, by two aircraft pilots; Emanuel Vittorio Parodi and Carlo Guzzi.
The company quickly notched up an impressive array of racing victories. By the time of its withdrawal from motorsports in 1957 it had accumulated 14 world GP championships and 11 Tourist Trophies. Driven by innovation, the company enjoyed increasing success. And as as the classic bikes kept coming, its iconic status grew.
The Moto Guzzi Philosophy
The Moto Guzzi philosophy is a combination of innovative design, engineering beauty and outstanding quality. This has resulted in a range of bikes that represent an all-encompassing experience and way of life; rather than simply an attractive mode of transport. Style is all important, but so too is manufacturing excellence and performance. That’s a combination that rivals have found hard to beat.
The brand encapuslates the concept of travel and adventure. Each bike offers its owner a taste of freedom, of being immersed in the landscape, and they do it with a unique sense of style. By owning a Moto Guzzi bike, you are making a clear statement about yourself. You are expressing your choice of lifestyle and also your love of the open road. Above all, you are demonstrating your respect for classic styling and quality engineering.
Why Choose Moto Guzzi at Mototechniks?
In recent years, a number of motorcycle manufacturers have attempted to introduce an appealing retro quality to their new bikes. Moto Guzzi, on the other hand, is still producing bikes that look the way they did in the 60s and 70s. This may be down to the fact that they are still made at the Mandello works, where the first bike was built in 1921.
More than that, the designers and engineers are still innovating, and that unique sense of style and excellence is still a feature of every new model. Moto Guzzi bikes are in a class apart, and owners don’t simply own them, they experience, cherish and enjoy them.
Here at Mototechniks, we are proud of our team of talented technicians, whose love of working with bikes is at the heart of our business. We are Moto Guzzi dealers with a wide selection of Moto Guzzi motorcycles for sale. So, if you’d like to live the dream, please contact us to request a test ride.
